FEATURES OF THE INTELLECTUAL ECONOMY’S FORMATION OF THE WORLD COUNTRIES

Abstract

The features of the definition of the concept of intellectual economy at the intersection with the concepts of knowledge economy, knowledge-based economy, innovative economy, smart-economy have been described. It has been formulated that the main elements of the intellectual economy are intellectual capital as a resource and intellectual property as a final product. Within the framework of the research the formation of the basic forms of industrial intellectual property has been investigated: trade marks, patents, utility models, industrial designs. The analysis of volumes of industrial intellectual property of the world countries by regional grouping, and grouping by level of income has been carried out. The growth rates of industrial intellectual property in the groups of countries and identified groups of leaders - the region of Asia and a group of countries with higher incomes than the average have been analysed. The dynamics of volume of industrial intellectual property of the world countries, the rate of their growth and trends have been constructed with a step in five years. Among the countries listed, countries-leaders in terms of industrial intellectual property were identified. The dynamics of the Index of Human Development in the countries-leaders have been analyzed and the patterns and interrelationships between the volumes of industrial intellectual property as the final product and the index of human development as an indicator of intellectual capital - the resource of the intellectual economy have been grounded. An unconditional leader country is China, the study of its features of the intellectual economy is the prospect of further research.
