ROLE OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY IN THE FORMATION OF THE PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF APPLICANTS FOR HIGHER ECONOMIC EDUCATION IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of formation of professional competence of applicants for higher economic education in Ukraine. It is determined that the modern intellectual economy is based on the use of intellectual products, intellectual resources and intellectual capital. The important role of intellectual property for economic development of the country and national innovation system is considered. The problem of preparation of applicants for higher economic education, mastery of new knowledge, ability to constantly retrain and improve themselves, which are obligatory conditions for training of specialists in the modern world, are considered to be urgent for consideration and relevant for scientific research. The role of the discipline "Intellectual property" for the effective preparation of applicants for higher economic education, ensuring their professional skill, creative economic thinking, providing professional and professional competences is analyzed. It is revealed that in the process of studying intellectual property, the students of higher education of economic specialties systematize knowledge of economic disciplines and correlate with knowledge of the basics of intellectual property. In the course of the study it was concluded that in the course of studying the discipline "Intellectual property" professional, professional competences of future economists are formed: students' creative thinking develops, skills of working with normative and legislative documents in the field of intellectual property are being developed, and the stock of scientific terminology is replenished. In addition, the study of the discipline of "Intellectual Property" contributes to the formation of necessary, extremely important competencies, such as: the ability to generate new ideas (creativity), the ability to identify, pose, solve problems and make informed decisions, the ability to adapt and act in a new situation. Therefore, the real result of the study of this discipline will be the ability of future professionals to identify initiative and independence of action in different situations, to critically evaluate the phenomena and processes in the field of entrepreneurship and different types of economic activity, identify and analyze problems, develop measures to solve them.
