SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL EVALUATION PRINCIPLES OF THE SYSTEM OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF BUSINESS AT THE ENTERPRISE
Abstract
The article considers modern approaches to assessing the level of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The study of the evolution of the assessment of social responsibility of business in the world and in Ukraine has been conducted. It has been proved that the estimation of enterprise's CSR as the basis for decision making at the national and regional levels is constrained primarily by the lack of a unified methodology for such an assessment that would provide objective indicators for the development of CSR, conduct comparisons, and analyze the evolution of CSR. Author has offered the method of evaluation of social responsibility of business in Ukraine. Areas and a specific list of estimated indicators of social responsibility of enterprises are determined taking into account their specific features. Each of the areas of CSR corresponds to a separate set of indicators, which avoids excessive informational encumbrance of the main indicator, while ensuring a sufficiently integrated approach to the characteristics of CSR features. All partial indexes of CSR for information unidirectionality are divided into stimulators and stimulants, that is, the relationship between the level of CSR with stimulants - direct, and with the stimulant - the reverse. The results of the calculation of the integral index of the level of CSR allows to identify enterprises with high, higher than average, average, lower than the average and low levels of CSR development and its separate components. The proposed method for evaluating the system of social responsibility of the business is simple to use, includes a limited number of key indicators for CSR characterization; is based on quantitatively measurable indicators, which allow to make objective comparisons; based on publicly available and reliable information; covers all spheres of CSR (economic, labor, ecological, consumer, philanthropic, business), which allows to define both integral assessments of CSR and partial (for each of the areas); is close to the generally accepted international assessment and reporting systems ISO 26000, G3.1, AA 1000 SES, human development index etc.
